15 weeks: my belly is growing...
(15 weeks)
Wow. I can't believe I am 15 weeks. Part of me thinks this is passing quickly and another part of me wants time to move more quickly so we will know what we are having and meet the little one. I know, I need to be patient. :) Not a strong suit of mine.
I am feeling much better these days. I have not been taking my meds for 2 weeks now and I am still FUNCTIONING! Praise the Lord for that!! I am still very tired so I go to bed early most nights. It is 9pm right now and that is late for me. haha.
We go to the doctor next week on the 14th. I believe they will just take some blood and run some routine tests to check me and the baby for a few things, so be praying that goes well and our little one is growing strong in there.
Not much else to report today...

New Bath: Thanks to my husband and dad!!
Check out what we did! We are flipping this house! So exciting! We had a very busy holiday season. It started the week of Thanksgiving and my parents came and spent a week with us at our house WORKING. It was amazing. Brent took some time that week off work to move the project along and help dad. When they left, all the tile was down but we still had sealing, painting, and base boards to lay. Dad was great enough to come down for another week before Christmas and finish those items for us.
We also found I was preggo during this time so I became less and less helpful. I basically took the job and spotting all the mess ups and asking for adjustments. I tried to be nice about it. Was I guys?? I really do hope so. Sorry if I was not.
As you can see in the final picture, we still have to put up the fixtures and get a glass door. The door may take awhile since it has to be specially made, so until then we will have a temporary curtain.
Anyways, I am so thankful for all your hard work you both put in and it looks AWESOME!!

Thanks Brent and Dad!! Two amazing men to have in my life!!
YAY! For heartbeats!!

Yay! We heard our baby's heartbeat today! It was a quick appointment and we did not have any pictures taken to share but the doctor was pleased with what she heard. To me, it sounds like the ocean in there. haha. But I am so thankful that our baby is doing well.
I do not have another belly shot to show either, basically because I have not changed much. I have only gain a pound and a half since the end of November. But I am eating and eating every few hours, just not as much each time, so no worries.
Our next appointment is on Valentine's Day and blood work will be taken to check the baby for a few things. I thought we would find out what we are having at our February appointment but we will not, maybe the next one. I can't wait!! I want to know so bad, so I will be able to call this baby by its name.

we SAW the heartbeat yesterday!
It was still a little to early to actually hear the heartbeat yesterday but we definitely could see it! It was so neat to see our baby and he/she is growing with each visit. The doctor said we are right on target. My official due date is July 29th, right in the middle of mine and Brent's birthdays! How fun!

Here are a couple pictures from our visits:
(7 weeks, above)
This is the appointment when we saw the heartbeat. We go back in January, when I am about 12 weeks, and the doctor said we will definitely hear it at that visit.

Still waiting on heartbeats from the little one...
We had our 10 day check-up this morning, which we were hoping to hear the first heartbeat. We are still waiting. On our last visit, the doctor pulled out her little wheel (Which if you never have been pregnant you might not know what I am talking about, I sure didn't until I saw it. The wheel is a little object the doctor uses to predict lots of things, such as conception, how far along, and a due date.) and said I was in my 5th week, so it was too early to hear anything but we saw a black dot. Well today, there were changes in her prediction and growth with our baby but it is still too early. Dr. Levin now thinks I am in my 5th week. I know that seems odd, how could she be off, but all women are different and we all are on our own time table with our cycles (at first doctors go by the book standard of 28 days). Mine is longer then most. But the good news is is that there was GROWTH and a yoke sac! So now, I am to go back in another 10 days to hopefully then hear the first heartbeat! I think she is going to make me keep coming back until she hears something which I am thrilled to do so! I am so thankful to have a doctor who cares, finally. She is truly great! I recommend her to any of you who live in the Houston area. She is at Memorial City.
Thanks for your prayers and keep praying. This first trimester is hard and risky for any one. I am taking a particular hormone though to hopefully prevent miscarriage. Pray against that and that I will carry this baby to full-term, happy, and healthy.
I plan to post our first pictures when I get home tonight. Check back later!
