We simply can't believe you turned two last week (July 21st)! It doesn't seem that long ago that we were in the hospital meeting you face to face for the very first time. But the strange thing is too, is that we can't imagine what life would be without you with us.
You are sweet, brilliant, polite, active, super handsome (we are bias, we know), and hilarious. You can say anything we say and most people understand you because you speak very clearly for a two year old and have been for several months now. You love to read still and count too.
You love outside. Golf. Soccer. Basketball. Pretty much all sports. You love swimming and splashing around. You love the boat at Aunt Mona's house and ask her to ride it as soon as you see her. You love to "drive Daddy's truck."
Well, Cole-man, we did your birthday up BIG this year with two birthday parties and fun-filled day on your actual birthday. We hope you had a blast because we sure did with you!
Love you sweet boy,
Mommy and Daddy
Family Party in Bryan:
This year, we decided to join up with Matt and Larra and have a big family party in Bryan. Most of Matt and Brent's family lives in that area and with Cole and Carson's birthdays only 5 days apart in the month of July, we all thought it would be a great way to celebrate them both. It was so fun! Thank you everyone for coming and celebrating both Cole (2) and Carson (1)!!
Our Party Pavillion (Thank you Trent and Andrea for letting us use your apt. pool!)
Cole checking out his new puzzle.
The Cake. Larra and I made Pirate cupcakes for the party that you can find here from Betty Crocker.
Carson doing some reading in his new book.
The BIG Day: July 21st
On Cole's actual birthday, Brent took the day off and the day was filled with fun adventures and things Cole likes to do. Cole LOVED having Daddy home for the day! The morning started off with breakfast at McDonalds, a trip to the zoo, lunch at Cafe Adobe, and a trip to Toys R Us to purchase a big basketball goal with some birthday money from Nina and Papa Larry and Grandma and Grandpa Hairrell. Thank you both! He loves his new basketball goal. Then it was home to nap and he was so tired he slept until it was time for dinner. We rounded the day out with dinner at Spring Creek BBQ, a trip to Target where an Icee was definitely purchased, and an episode of Diego before heading back to bed. It was a GREAT day!
