I know most everyone that reads this uses Google Reader and I don't think Claire's post ended up there this time when it was actually finished. It was accidentally posted a month or two ago and went to Reader then, so I have a feeling it didn't put it there again.
If you missed it, then here it is:

Claire's New Room
I started this post almost 2 months ago. We were making great headway in Claire's room for a couple weeks and then it just turned into a storage unit again and absolutely no work was able to happen. Finally, tonight, I was able to get back in there, do some organizing, putting things away in the dresser and hang a few items on the wall. It is all coming together! I am so excited!
I decided that I wanted to have the bedding made because I did not find one that I just loved. There were parts to many but I was not able to buy just the parts, so instead I went to JoAnn's and found a pattern. I did make some modifications to it though. I found 3 fabrics on Fabric.com, 2 at Hobby Lobby and 1 at JoAnn's. My mom was able to do all the sewing for me. Thanks Mom!
I really hope Claire is a fan of bright colors because as you can tell her Mommy is a big fan!
The Old Guest Room...Is Now Claire's New Room!
It went from this...

Check out the before of the dresser in the corner. Brent's mom found that for him when he was moving to Houston for only $5!!! And it is heavy, solid wood, just needed some TLC. Thanks Dena!

The Wall Makeover

The Dresser
(See above for original look.) A little primer and a little paint can dress anything up.

Please forgive the color. It is not showing up right in the picture. It is called something Red Wine, so in person it looks more cranberry.

The Updated Pulls (Spray paint has been a HUGE friend of mine during this makeover.)

Finished Product

The Bookshelf
Before
Of course, I forgot to take a before picture. This shelf was mine as a girl and my parents bought it down from Tulsa for Claire to use in her room. It was solid white, but I thought it needed a little touch of color.
After

Bedding

(Crib skirt not shown here since it is already on the crib.)
Close-up of Bumper

Close-up of Favorite Sheet (this one is from PB Kids...matched perfectly...couldn't resist)

Close-up of Quilt Side 1

Close-up of Quilt Side 2 (my favorite side)

All Assembled in Crib

Curtains

The shears are from my college days and have been just hanging in my closet since then waiting for a place to be hung again. I am excited to use them again for Claire's room.

It's a ...!!!
A few weeks ago, on June 28th, we had our big ultrasound to find out if we were going to have another little boy or a little girl. We decided to wait until the next day to find out though with our friends and some of our family. My sister-in-law, Larra, had recently introduced me to an idea of a "gender reveal party" which I had never heard of before and she threw us one. It was so much fun! Thank you Larra for making that night so special for us and our second baby!! The night was filled with dinner, yummy desserts and lots of games, inside and out.

The BIG Reveal!!!

Our 1st Reaction:

As you can see, we are more then thrilled to be adding a little, precious GIRL to our family! We thank you all for the great evening and the prayers for this little one and we are excited to tell you that you can all start praying for her by name: Claire Elise Palermo!
Claire means "clear, bright" and Elise means "consecrated to God."
We love you already, Claire!!

Baby #2 is the size of a Banana!

Well, according to the Bump.com, our baby is the size of a banana this week. I am now 21 weeks and 3 days along. It is going by so fast. November will be here before I know it and my to-do list just keeps growing faster then I can keep up.
Last night, I felt her big time and Brent was able to feel/see her as well. It was not kicks or anything, but she was pressed so hard against my belly in one area that my stomach was lop-sided. Hilarious. I remember that happening with Cole but I don't remember it being this early on. It was super cool. Keep it up sweet baby! Your mommy and daddy love to see/feel you play in there!

According to the Bump.com, the baby is the size of this:

I feel some moments, nothing consistent. So looking forward to seeing our baby next Monday!!

Movement??
So I think I finally felt the baby move!? I know there is a question mark involved. It's weird. I was so sure with Cole when I first felt him. The slightest little poke. You would think I would be more confident with this pregnancy being the second one but I am just not. Everything is so different this time, which is not a bad thing, it just is. But I am going with movement. :) How exciting!
