Happ Birthday, Brent!

Today, my sweet husband turns 29. He has taken the day off to enjoy his birthday full of golf and family time. His one wish as he left just a bit ago was that the rain from the hurricane would hold off or not get all the up to our side of town, so he could enjoy his golf outing with Keith. I am hoping that works out for him too.

Thank you Brent for being a super husband, father and friend to many. These last few months were pretty challenging being so sick with our second baby and you really stepped up to take care of me, Cole and our home, keeping everything moving along. You did a great job and we are thankful for you in our lives. I hope you know how much we both love you!

Happy Birthday!

We love you!

Love,
Leigh Ann and Cole

Such Manners

Last Sunday, Brent took Cole to the lake. When they got home, Brent had a funny story for me. And you must know that Cole will repeat himself over and over if you do not acknowledge him.

So Brent happened to burp.

Cole was the back seat, since they were driving: "Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me! Excuse me!"

Brent, finally realizing Cole is referring to his burp: "Oh sorry buddy, excuse me."

A few days ago, I sneezed.

Cole quickly said, "Bless you."

Today, at breakfast, Cole burps. He quickly says, "Excuse me," for himself.

I LOVE the good manners! And him reminding us to be polite and have good manners too.

Playing Catch-up

With being sick and basically putting everything on hold except for the "I have to's," I am extremely behind on so many basic things around the house, but also things I have been planning to do for months prior to the start of this pregnancy. Please don't get me wrong, I am totally thrilled with being pregnant and the sickness is totally worth it for the end result, but I am not going to lie; I am also EXTREMELY thrilled that that phrase is slowly coming to an end. I am currently only taking one dose of Zofran and that gets me through the whole day!

So now that I am feeling better, I need to catch-up on some things that have piled up. I am starting my list, but most of this is going to wait until after next week, since VBS is on the calendar.

1. Re-read "Baby Wise"
2. Read "Potty Training in 3 Days"
3. Finished magnetic chalkboard
4. Start using coupons again/Organize all coupons
5. Read all my "Real Simple" mags that are unread
6. Finish painting Cole's kid table and picnic table
7. Make Cole a headboard
8. Redecorate Cole's room into "big boy room"
9. Create nursery (one sex of baby #2 is known, June 29th!!)
10. Do prenatal yoga and cardio routine at least 2-3 days a week
11. Attempt potty training for Cole starting in July.
12. Start blogging again!
13. Unload months of pictures of my cameras.
14. Start taking quality pictures again.
15. Finish moving all my old computer to my new one.

I know there are more. But that is a lot to do already. About half is going to wait until July when we know what baby #2 will be boy or girl and creating a new room for Cole.

Can't wait to get started!

Movement??

So I think I finally felt the baby move!? I know there is a question mark involved. It's weird. I was so sure with Cole when I first felt him. The slightest little poke. You would think I would be more confident with this pregnancy being the second one but I am just not. Everything is so different this time, which is not a bad thing, it just is. But I am going with movement. :) How exciting!

We have an ANNOUNCEMENT...finally!

Well, I thought it was about time to announce that we are PREGNANT with our second baby the blog. Most of you that read this already know, but if not...SURPRISE!

This pregnancy has been much harder then with Cole. The sickness is doubled and having another child to take care of that I didn't have before. It is different, but we are doing good. I am slowly getting back to normal. The sickness is slowing down (still on meds though), so that means I a speeding up. We are so happy about having another baby and looking forward to all the ways our family will change in the coming months.

I am 16 weeks and 2 days today. Lots of things have had to slow down while so sick and blogging was definitely one of them. But baby #2, if you are listening, that is not because I didn't want to write about you or that I was any less excited! I am so thankful for you and can't wait to feel you move around. I can't seem to locate where I wrote that down for Cole, but I do know Brent was able to feel him at 22 weeks so it should be soon.

Cole knows about the new baby and talks to him or her every night before bed. It is so sweet to hear him tell the baby that he is their brother, that he loves them, etc. He is going to love this baby like crazy! And be a big helper.

I am looking forward to the end of June when we find out the sex of the baby. Right now, all I can imagine is a girl. I know the girl name and can visualize her nursery. Not saying I wouldn't be happy with another boy too. Either way is going to be wonderful. I just don't have a boy name yet. But I am wondering about the girl thing...is it because I already have one baby and have everything? Is that why I am dreaming of a girl nursery? I don't know what that would look like but know exactly what the boy nursery would? Does that make any sense? Again, either way, I am going to be so excited! I am ready to call you by name sweet baby!
